About TiDi

TiDi, the Tanzania Integrated Development Initiative, is a testament to the collaborative efforts between local and international organizations for sustainable development. Emerging from the groundwork laid by ONGAWA-Engineering for Human Development, TiDi embodies the spirit of local empowerment and international cooperation.

The genesis of TiDi traces back to the partnership between ONGAWA and local teams in Tanzania, fostering a symbiotic relationship where expertise meets community needs. ONGAWA’s longstanding presence in Tanzania since 1996 underscores its commitment to grassroots development and capacity building.

TiDi’s journey, from its registration process in 2011 to its official constitution in 2013, highlights the meticulous planning and dedication behind its formation. As a local Tanzanian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), TiDi stands as a beacon of indigenous leadership in driving social change and sustainable development.

Through collaborative projects and community-driven initiatives, TiDi is poised to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Tanzanians. Its formation signifies a shared vision for holistic development, where local knowledge intersects with global perspectives to create lasting solutions for the challenges faced by communities in Tanzania.
